Introduction to the Siyavash App

Die Siyavash-App ist eine Informations- und Serviceplattform, die mit dem Ziel ins Leben gerufen wurde, Migrant:innen und Geflüchtete in Deutschland zu unterstützen.

Who was Siyavash?

Siyavash Mahmoudi was a 16-year-old teenager who was shot and killed by the security forces of the Islamic Republic during the protests against the state killing of Mahsa (Jina) Amini on the streets of Tehran.

We, at the Human Rights Action Association, believe that the names and memories of those who lost their lives in the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement must be kept alive. Therefore, we dedicate our projects to these courageous individuals.

Goals of the Siyavash App

1.Providing practical information and services to ease the process of residency, integration, and improving the daily quality of life for migrants and refugees in Germany.

2.Creating job opportunities for housewives, students, and multilingual individuals.

Strengthening social connections to combat psychological isolation and loneliness among migrants in exile.

How do we achieve these goals?

The Siawash app consists of six main sections:

1.Translation Services

Offering in-person and online translation services, as well as certified document translation by sworn translators – at the lowest possible cost and in the shortest possible time.

2.German Law Education

Providing essential legal and regulatory information in the user’s native language in the simplest and most understandable way.

3.Daily News from Germany

Access to current news from Germany, including federal states and local cities, in the user’s native language.

4.German Language Education

Step-by-step and simplified German grammar lessons from A1 to B2 levels, specially designed for beginners, with explanations in the native language.

5.Familiarization with the Surroundings

A comprehensive guide to medical, legal, cultural, educational, and social services to help users better understand their living environment in Germany.

6. Practical Surveys

Conducting targeted surveys to provide accurate data for organizations and institutions supporting migrants, helping them design more effective programs for social integration.

Employment Structure within the Siawash App

In the translation section, we offer three types of services:

  • In-person Informal Translation

Suitable for accompanying individuals to medical appointments, school meetings, or government offices. Provided by people with at least B2-level German skills.

Hourly rate: €25 (€22 for the translator, €3 for the app).

Currently, the cost is covered by the client, but we aim to reduce or eliminate the fee for refugees through integration funds or private/public sponsorship.

  • Online Translation

Ideal for filling out official forms, contacting organizations or service providers, and getting online support.

Cost: €15 per hour (€12 for the translator, €3 for the app).

. Certified Document Translation

Connecting users with sworn translators for the official translation of educational, identity, medical, and other documents – with a guarantee of quality and speed.

Stronger Together

We are working toward launching the most comprehensive support portal for migrants and refugees in Germany and seek collaboration with associations, organizations, and businesses that provide services to this community.

If you run an organization, institution, or business that offers services to migrants, you can send us your information. You can also share your recreational, educational, cultural, or political events for free on the Siyavash app.

Together, we can build a better life for ourselves and others in exile.
